Hello, I am Pinpinchoi. I started this blog as a support for studying abroad. Currently, I am studying MSc Events Management in the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom. Lincoln is a very beautiful city with friendly people. As a TEDx Talk speaker, I made a speech on the topic of “Be brave and speak out: Find your own voice in a different culture.” I am honoured to share my experience of adapting to another culture and exploring my own role in a new country.
My mission is to encourage those who study abroad to make full use of their time by sharing useful tips and my personal interesting stories including languages barriers, university life, social connections, etc.
If you are feeling lost and distributed in your study life, trust me, I was the same as you. But I overcame it and I am more than happy to support you to go through this hard time when you study abroad.
Studying abroad is amazing! Enjoy your life in a foreign country!
Random Facts
Global Traveler
I have been studying abroad in Cambodia and United Kingdom and travelling around 15 countries in the whole world including Thailand, Vietnam, Italy, France and so on.
Language
I can speak 4 languages including English, Cambodian, French and Chinese. It’s not easy to speak 4 languages at the same time. Sometimes, I would mix English with French or Cambodian with English. However, I am obsessed with learning various languages. Each language seems like a door to a fantastic new world including culture, networking and more importantly, mindset.
Dancer
Dancing is my passion. Music knows no boundaries between countries, so does dancing. I have been dancing for 10 years including Hip-hop, Jazzfunk, Waacking and contemporary. I have participated in many national and international competitions and performances and got satisfying results. I got the chance to dance for Cambodian Princess Norodom Buppha Devi in 2017 and was interviewed by CCTV (China Central Television).
For me, dancing is not just my hobby but also my lifelong partner. It helps me go through many difficulties and get many incredible opportunities especially when I am studying abroad. This passion has to lead me to begin my master degree in Events Management in the United Kingdom.
